Secure Certificate Use
ACert™
Software
ACert™ software enables users to store
digital certificates in the secured memory of Authenex
A-Key® tokens. Once stored, users can take their certificates
any where and use them for any PKI-related activities (such
as Windows SmartCard Login and secured email) from the token
and without having to install extra software or hardware. And
because ACert™ software resides
on the Authenex
A-Key® token, credentials and certificates are always safe.
Secure Certificate
Storage
ACert™ software enables you to securely
store up to six (6) certificates in the secured storage
of the Authenex
A-Key® token. Thus stored, you can take your token and
certificates any where and securely use them.
Versatile, Mobile
Secure Certificate Use
Since it is on the Authenex
A-Key® token, ACert™ software is versatile and easily
mobile. ACert™ software users can securely use their certificates
anywhere for PKI-related activities, such as secure email,
PKI authentication and Windows
Smart Card Login. And because ACert™ software is used
with a USB token, deployment can be easier and less expensive
than smart
card deployments, which require card readers.
Mobile Secure
Certificate Management
The combination of ACert® software
and the A-Key®
token provides extreme security. The token is password
protected. Also, ACert® software prompts anyone using your
A-Key® token
every time an application requires access to your certificates
and/or key-pairs stored, as well as when a certificate is
deleted, imported, requested and installed. No unauthorized
use allowed. Plus, public and private keys associated with
each certificate are generated on the token itself, not
the computer. Which means nothing is sent to, stored, or
left on the computer. You can have authentication, confidentiality,
and integrity all on the same token.
A-Key® Token
Peace of Mind
Since ACert™
software comes pre-installed on an Authenex
A-Key® token, ACert software receive the benefits of the
token:
Convenient size easily fits onto
a key ring.
Depending on the token you choose,
you can use secure and encrypted storage for Web Credentials,
bank account information, FTP/IM/VPN credentials, as well
as files, pictures, you name it.
All A-Key®
tokens have up to two levels of password protection:
user and administrator. You can define one password for
both levels, or one for each. Separating the passwords enables
a higher level of token security and enables enterprise
administrators to maintain a high degree of consistency
and control over tokens they deploy.
Brute force access protection secures
all stored data against loss or theft: if anyone tries to
log in to the token and fails a specified number of times,
the token will erase all user data and restore itself to
factory default settings.
