Based in Hayward, CA, Authenex is a VC funded company that provides organizations of all sizes with the best price/performance two-factor authentication, secure mobile storage, and data encryption solutions. Our products enable strong (two-factor) local and remote Challenge/Response, OTP, and PKI authentication, encrypted mobile storage for up to 2 GB of user files, hard drive security, and easy to use communications security. While they are deployed in Fortune 100 and 500 companies, our products are cost-effective enough for small- and medium-sized businesses.
About Our Products
Authenex can keep the costs of its products lower than many competitors, because we because we retain full ownership of our technology. This also gives us the flexibility to quickly customize our products to suit customer needs.
About A-Key® Tokens
A-Key® tokens are USB tokens that enable
users to store data in encrypted memory and safely take that data
wherever they go. A-Key tokens can also be used for Challenge/Response,
PKI, and One-time Password (OTP) authentication. All data on an
A-Key token is safe from unauthorized use and from theft. The
A-Key is password-protected and all data is encrypted.
About the A-Key® 4000 Token
No one makes a product like the A-Key® 4000 token, a password-protected
USB token that has up to 1 gigabyte of encrypted storage and enables
secure Challenge/Response, One-time Password (OTP), and certificate-based
authentication and email security. Because it is driverless, it
requires no installation and leaves no footprint wherever it is
used, yet provides secure storage and remote log in from anywhere
in the world, as well as tamper-proof peace of mind, through protection
against brute force penetration.
Anything a user puts on the key (user IDs, passwords, files,
URLs, X.509 digital certificates) is encrypted on-the-fly by encryption
at the hardware level. It remains secure.
The A-Key® 4000 token enables up to two (2) levels of password
management: either just the user level or both the administrator
and user levels and supports multiple authentication protocols
(One-Time Password, PKI, or Challenge-Response authentication),
and all Authenex products leverage the chip-based A-Key® token,
making them easy to manage and use.
For added security in the event that it is lost or stolen, the
A-Key® 4000 token will erase all user data in storage and
return to its factory default settings after a configurable number
of failed log in attempts. This functionality is built into the
hardware itself and cannot be bypassed.
The high level of security the token has to offer, and the low
cost, make the A-Key® 4000 token a truly unique offering in
today’s security marketplace.

About the ASAS® System
The Authenex Strong Authentication System (ASAS®) is a network
security application that provides strong (two-factor) authentication
for LAN, remote, VPN and web access. The ASAS® System helps
keep your networks secure by requiring your users to use their
A-Key tokens to authenticate via either Challenge/Response or
One-Time Password (OTP) whenever they want remote or LAN access
to networks, web sites, portals, OWA servers, etc. The ASAS®
System utilizes an authentication server and database, as well
as the A-Key token as the basis for the most secure, easy to use,
simple to administer and cost-effective two-factor authentication
solution available today.
The ASAS® System is available to and installed in organizations
of all sizes, from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses.
Because it uses RADIUS and TCP/IP protocols, the ASAS® System
can easily integrate into any network environment. The ASAS system
is also VPN and firewall interoperable, and supports ODBC- providing
networks with an efficient two-factor authentication system that
integrates easily with an existing security infrastructure.
The ASAS® Syetem is compatible with the world's most popular
Remote Firewall and VPN solutions, including Check Point, Cisco,
Nortel, and Microsoft RRAS, as well as Citrix and MetaInfo (Meta
IP DHCP services).
ASAS® System administration is performed through a versatile
web application called the Web Management Console (WMC). The WMC
requires very little disk space, Java, and a web browser. With
these minimal requirements, nearly anyone can perform all ASAS®
System administration tasks: managing users, A-Key tokens, and
user groups, as well as administer the ASAS® Server itself.

About My A-Key™ Software
My A-Key™ software can be pre-installed on A-Key™
tokens, enabling them to automatically store passwords and user
IDs to secure networks and websites in its encrypted storage area.
Without anyone seeing the user names or passwords, My A-Key™
software can automatically log users in to Exchange servers, company
intranets and portals, Web sites, ftp servers, VPNs, IM etc. My
A-Key™ software leaves no footprint and no keystroke to
